Andy Martinelli Clark is an artist and critic whose writing has appeared in Artforum, BmoreArt, and Full Bleed. In 2023 he self-published the comprehensive monograph Alice Martinelli: Amalgamation. The book was selected as a finalist for the 2023 Communication Arts design competition and is held within the library collections of the National Gallery of Art, the Maryland Institute College of Art, Montgomery College, and the University of Maryland, College Park.

His visual work consists of haptic, process-driven works on paper that utilize the typologies of drawing, painting, and printmaking to investigate abstraction as a state that embodies open signification. Clark views his drawings and monoprints as fictional constructions—each possessing their own distinct attitude, spacial propositions, and layered histories. His work has been exhibited at the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts, Philadelphia, PA; Notre Dame of Maryland University, Baltimore, MD; Mono Practice, Baltimore, MD; and at Hamiltonian Gallery, Washington, DC, among others. Clark received his BFA in 2019 from the Maryland Institute College of Art, where he studied painting and printmaking.
